Pamphlet Stitch: Great Success!

The first group of the day, busily punching holes for sewing.

This Saturday 18 participants in two separate classes joined me for a session of Pamphlet Stitch binding at the Falmouth Public Library – these classes were free of charge, made possible by a grant from the Massachusetts Local Cultural Council and additional support by the Library Trustees.

Everyone did really well and seemed to have a great time – hopefully there will be some more classes at the library soon – if you’d like to be kept updated about my latest classes, simply enter your email on the right over there where it says “Ruth’s Newsletter”.

Some helpful links for the class:

If you make your own books at home, email them to me Ruth (AT) RuthBleakley (DOT) Com – and I’ll put them up on my blog!

Some of the covers were made from nautical charts and sheet music!

Lots of confetti after everyone was finished trimming their books

Using the corner rounder for a nice finishing touch
