{"id":99,"date":"2009-04-27T16:45:26","date_gmt":"2009-04-27T20:45:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ruthbleakley.com\/blog\/?p=99"},"modified":"2016-07-22T18:20:14","modified_gmt":"2016-07-22T22:20:14","slug":"collaborative-spider-book","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ruthbleakley.com\/blog\/2009\/04\/collaborative-spider-book\/","title":{"rendered":"Collaborative Spider Book"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I love creating collaborative work and last year\u00c2\u00a0 Christina Lafontaine and I created some miniature illustrated books that are now for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.etsy.com\/view_listing.php?listing_id=24260695\">sale<\/a> in my new Etsy shop. &#8211; Here&#8217;s a little blurb from my shop:<\/p>\n<p>About a year ago my friend Christina and I collaborated on three miniature (2&#8243;x 1.5&#8243;- 5cmx4cm) accordion books which were featured in a small works show at Clark University&#8217;s Shiltkamp Gallery.<\/p>\n<p>Christina created beautifully detailed drawings with a tiny .005 Micron pen and then hand colored them with artist&#8217;s markers. I hand bound them and created the tiny illustration on the cover and on the back of the book.<\/p>\n<p>Each book took several hours of planning and meticulous work and was created with all archival materials so it will last many years.<\/p>\n<p>This particular book has a big yellow and gray spider on the front, and on the back, little flies who don&#8217;t seem to realize the imminent danger they face!
