{"id":195,"date":"2009-06-30T15:15:47","date_gmt":"2009-06-30T19:15:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ruthbleakley.com\/blog\/?p=195"},"modified":"2016-07-22T18:50:50","modified_gmt":"2016-07-22T22:50:50","slug":"custom-fabric-printing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ruthbleakley.com\/blog\/2009\/06\/custom-fabric-printing\/","title":{"rendered":"Custom Fabric Printing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I stumbled across the coolest site\/idea I&#8217;ve heard of in a long time today &#8211; custom printed fabrics.<\/p>\n<p>I discovered it by visiting Wonderfluff&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.etsy.com\/view_listing.php?listing_id=26994388\">cute etsy shop<\/a> &#8211; here&#8217;s a beautiful fabric that she designed herself called Summer Flowers.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.etsy.com\/view_listing.php?listing_id=26994388\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-196 size-full\" title=\"wonderfluff summer flowers fabric\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ruthbleakley.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/06\/wonderfluff.jpg\" alt=\"You can see more of wonderfluff's fabric on her etsy site\" width=\"1000\" height=\"750\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ruthbleakley.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/06\/wonderfluff.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/www.ruthbleakley.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/06\/wonderfluff-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The fabric was printed by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.spoonflower.com\">Spoonflower<\/a>, an innovative company that creates print-on-demand fabric by the yard. All you need is a digital image at 150 dpi which you upload, and the interactive fabric designer interface allows you to choose how you want the pattern displayed (offset, stacked, mirrored, etc.) a real time preview gives you a good idea of what it will look like printed.<\/p>\n<p>The price range is $18-$35 a yard, with $5 swatches.
