Webster’s Pictorial Dictionary

I’m currently lusting after Webster’s Pictorial Dictionary by Chronicle Books. We have a copy here at the Paper Tyger that I lovingly look through – it’s a hefty little book, about two inches thick, and about 7″x9″.

An excerpt from the back cover reads:
“Featuring more than 1,500 engravings that originally graced the pages of 19th-century Webster’s dictionaries, this chunky volume is a treasure trove for art lovers, designers and anyone with an interest in visual history”.
Check out the inside pages – note the book presses on the right hand side!

But one of the best parts is the matching stamp set –

Until November 15, 2010, you can enter to win a Fine Binding edition of the book, hand bound in leather, with letterpress interior and engraved cover on the Chronicle Books website. Yum!
