I love small cute things and the alpine strawberries I’ve been growing the past two years totally fit the bill. They grow perfectly here on Cape Cod (did you know that Cape Cod was the top producer of strawberries east of the Mississippi at the turn of the 20th century?) which is fortunate because I tend to neglect most of my plants. I planted two in a large 10 gallon pot leftover from transplanting some large bushes and they filled the whole thing – this year I took some of the runners and put them in another pot which they have managed to fill, also!
The strawberries are tiny in size but big in flavor!
Yum! They’ve grown to fill the pot in three months!
